One of my bestie is visiting Guam:) I've got her schedule and checked many times when she is flying to Guam. I was too excited that I thought she is coming tonight! I was busy to do my chores and cleaned my house today.. then, I've just found out that she will be here day after tomorrow.
Uni and I are super looking forward to see her soon:)
When I don't practice yoga at the studio in the early evening, I sometimes go to the beach. I am so lucky to live very close to the beach and see Guam's beautiful sunset. I often saw people enjoying puddle surfing. The other day, I saw a couple doing it with their dog:) How cool that is! This is one of the thing in my bucket list here on Guam.
His voice is soothing me, because I used to listen " This American Life" shows on NPR a lot.
This is very motivating and inspiring video, and I enjoyed the show so much.
I watched over and over again.... and his message makes me really keep creating whatever I feel to create... One day, I will catch up and close the gap. I am actually making something for my friend now. After I found this video, it really gives me a push and encourage me to do the project.
It was a very cold Spring Equinox day in Japan, my mom's dog "Reo" passed away.
I got this sad news when I was watching the beautiful sunset at Tumon Bay.
He was 14 years and one month old. I took this picture maybe less than six months ago, but he always was a pretty healthy dog and looked young for his age.
After mom took him for a daily walk, he looked a bit tired...and then he closed his eyes in my mom's arms.
Although he seemed like he had very peaceful ending, it was too sudden...and my family just don't know what to think. Reo was a very sweet and good boy to us. Now, he can join his mom "Kinako" , ”Momo”, and our first dog "Meso" in heaven.
I think Reo was so happy to have lived with my mom. Rest in peace. We miss you so much, Reo.
We who live with any pets, know there will be the end moment and have to say "good bye" to them. When I think of it, my heart aches, and I just hope that day will never come.
However, being there for our pets' their last moments might be the great honor for us.
It is a great reminder that my cats give me a tons of happinesses, and I want to live with them fully while they are with me.
When I go out to have a lunch with friends, my friends and I like to explore a new place to eat.
Mosa's Joint for lunch was our choice. One of the burger from this place won the 1st place of Guam Burgerfest competition in 2013.
I guess this place was known for great foods. When we got there, it was very crowded with a lots of locals and military people.
My choice here was Falafel Fold. Falafels( deep fried a ball or patty made from ground chickpeas or fava beans), Hummus and veggies with greek dressing were wrapped with Pita bread. I was seeking good Falafel on Guam, and Yay! I finally found it here!!
You can choose the side from Soup, Salad, French fries, or Sweet potato fries. I got Sweat potato fries.
I want to try the other burger next time, but it is hard not to get Falafel fold again..
Well, with all the said, I am definitely coming back here:)
Today is the opening day of "The Grand Budapest Hotel" in theaters in US!!
Guam is.... not yet. I don't even know if this movie will ever come to Guam. Hopefully there is enough people who is interested Wes Anderson's movie.
I always fall in LOOOOOOVE with his creation. I just adore his storyline, characters, sets, colors, and music in his movies. It is witty and humorous, and at the same time, it is very beautiful and theatrical. sigh*
Wes Anderson has such a style. He inspires me tremendously! I wish I could just live in his world.
A little sad thing is there is not much people around me to talk about his movies. If you are interested in, please watch it before me (probably before me since there is no showing on Guam yet..) and let me know how you like it.
I found this iPhone app "Diana Photo." It chooses and mixes 2 photos from camera roll on you iPhone and puts some filter on it. App chose random 2 photos (taken around the same time last year ) from my iPhone and created this one . I love how it came out with this app:)
I went to see Neko today. Made me so happy to see her. How beautiful Neko is!!
I stumbled upon these music videos and some article about Disney's new movie "FROZEN."
I am not a huge Disney fan, however the theme song "Let It Go' make me want to watch this movie. ( I haven't even watch official trailer yet. )
The song was sang by 25 different languages, and Disney made one multi-langueae version. I thought it is very cool.
A lots of artists are uploading their versions and covers of this song on Youtube. One of my fave is Alex Boye's Africanized tribal cover. African twist and the girl in this video is an amazing combo. I adore her voice and her costume( and oh,her hair!), too. I hope you would enjoy it:)
