Recently I have been a good girl and haven't had much drinks for while.
However, last Friday, I had way too much to drink... 2 glasses of potato vodka on the rocks, and 8 tequila shots with yummy local limes. I told myself do not drink tequila shot any more several years ago, and I kept my promise pretty good.
Well, I don't know it is because this Guam local lime? but those drinks tasted soooo good with it, and when I realized I had too much, I already went for my last shot of tequila.
Good thing was I didn't get a bad hangover. headache nor throwing up. I just ended up sleeping literarily ALL DAY on nice sunny Saturday. sigh.. so wasted. I will be more productive on next weekend.
I am just doodling whatever I want. However, I want to put my original style into these doodles, and also to try some new ideas, compositions, patterns to them. Not struggling, but just challenging myself to see what I can pull these together.
I want to draw lines and circles without using any rulers or drawing compass. I like the lines to be not too perfect.
I am very excited to start drawing in a new page and scared to mess it up.
But hey, I am doing this for fun, so what is "mess up" anyway, right?
I uploaded most of my doodles on Instagram(@ichigosmith) with #tags recently, and I've got more followers:) haha
I use marker pens to doodle. I love Sharpies!! Because I use them so heavily, I need to buy in bulk next time.
If you are my friend from the States, you've already known how much I LOOOOOVE dim sum! I just feel like I need to eat dim sum once in a while.
I crave dim sum on Guam, and my friend found me all-you-can-eat dim sum/Chinese at "Toh Lee" restaurant, Guam Nikko Hotel:) Yay, yay, yaaaaay!
Besides gyoza, shu-mai, and my absolute fave radish/turnip cake, sweet n' sour pork, chili shrimp, and stirred fried beef and bell pepper with oyster sauce, and etc are included in a menu of all-you-can-eat. Great deal!
From the window, you can overlook Tumon Bay. Weather wasn't so good that ocean wasn't pretty as usual.
I liked Chinese food here. It reminds me of Chinese food that I eat in Japan. So good.
Recently I started to make and drink my morning green juice again. My basic juice contains lemon, apple, kale, celery & carrot. It's hard to get good viggies on Guam, however I feel good having this in the morning.
It is common now a days to see natural/organic food and restaurants in Japan or State, but here on Guam it is still under the development. At a supermarket, I found natural food section (it's very expensive, tho. in fact all the food here is expensive because most of things are imported.) I also found a few healthy food markets and vegetarian/vegan restaurants.
In the mornings and evenings, a lots of people jog and run along the hotel road, and almost every weekend 5K/2K RUN/WALK events are held somewhere.
Guam becomes more health conscious place than ever.
I started to walk on the beach, but weather wasn't good last few days...sigh* ..need to get back..
I had an appointment at INS yesterday. On my way home, I stopped by Homestyle Vegan restaurant "Heavenly Veggies".
It offers daily lunch full of veggies for $6.50. Yay!
It tasted good, and it filled my stomach happily:) I am always interested being a Vegetarian or Vegan, but I don't think I am be able to become one of them... If I can eat at these restaurant every meal, I would love to became one. hehehe
While I was in Japan for several months, I practiced yoga so often. My weight didn't change much, but I think my muscle level and flexibility was at the highest peak of my life. I should've taken more picture of poses, but I was kind of shy to ask someone or even myself to record it. I would highly recommend to take pictures of poses if you do yoga so that you can see your own improvement.
Anyway, I haven't practiced yoga over a month now, and I am getting super lazy recently. I feel so heavy and I can feel my muscle and flexibility is running way from me:( I had millions of excuses not to exercise (cannot wake up early, raining all day, ate too much..)
However, I just went for a walk on the beach yesterday. I saw pretty sunset sky. To see these pretty nature, exercising is so worthwhile. I will check out a yoga studio here soon. Hopefully I will get my muscles and flexibility back!!
本日のコーヒーマグは”I♥ Mini”マグで私の車と同じ柄のミニMiniカーで♪ Enjoy your coffee, too.
I found my coffee maker from the moving boxes, and I was so happy to drip some coffee again. I bought premium coffee beans from Yonemoto coffee in Tsukiji, Tokyo, so I was so looking forward to enjoy it.
I've been using this coffee maker since Vegas. I just used it few days ago, and something wrong happened... It stopped working:( Why? I tried to fix it, but don't even know how..boooo
So, I said thanks & good-bye to my precious coffee maker.
I can still make my cup of Joe with Chemex :)
It takes a little time if I compare it to my former machine, but I would love to enjoy waiting for water to boil, pour hot water in a coffee filter, and wait for each drop of yummy coffee.
This morning, I cherished my morning Joe with my fave "I♥mini" mug that my friend gifted me. Enjoy your coffee, too.
Went out for a secret birthday dinner for Joyce last nite at Roy's restaurant in Guam Hilton Hotel.
I had a big plate of Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Cod, and onigiri( Japanese rice ball) for main:)
When you eat at Roy's, you must have a chocolate suffle. Melted rich chocolate inside of this is waiting for you, and ummm it is so gooooood. Joyce told me another restaurant on Guam serves a great chocolate suffle, so I need to check it out next time:) It was a fun girls' nite out.
Oh my, it is already October!!! I have been on Guam for a little over 2 weeks now, and finally I opened my boxes of life. I had moved more than 10 times in my adulthood, and I am getting better at it. When every time I moved, I got rid of unnecessary things. I did that, too when I moved to Guam last time, but why am I still have a tons? I need to live simple, and that will be my motto :)
